We love our smartphones, but have you ever thought about what are the most hated cell phones companies in the world? Whether we admit it or not, we are one big smartphone civilization. We like to do everything on our phones – from taking pictures, using a calculator, watching videos to browsing the Internet for recipes, everything.

The first on the list is Microsoft. The company never actually stood in the competition against the Apple and Samsung. In China, the world’s biggest smartphone market – Microsoft phones are to be seen nowhere. They only have a market share of 1.2%. Another one is Hewlett-Packard. Hewlett Packard is a giant in the computer industry, but it is no way near success in the smartphone world. One of the primary reasons why HP hasn’t been able to transfer its computer business success into the smartphone business is because the company was never sure which OS to use for its smartphones. Nowadays enterprises that are producing mobile phones make billions of dollars a year. Expansion of mobile phones began in the late 20th century. First automatic analogue cellular systems were first used in Tokyo in 1979. The first analogue cellular system widely deployed in North America was the Advanced Mobile Phone System. It was commercially introduced in the Americas on 13 October 1983, Israel in 1986, and Australia in 1987. AMPS was a pioneering technology that helped drive mass market usage of cellular technology, but it had several serious issues by modern standards. In 1993, IBM Simon was introduced. This was possibly the world’s first smartphone. It was a mobile phone, pager or fax machine. The uses of 2G phones became more widespread, and people began to utilize cell phones in their daily lives. In the mid-2000s, an evolution of 3G technology began to be implemented. By the end of 2007, there were 295 million subscribers on 3G networks worldwide, which reflected 9% of the total global subscriber base.
