Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans. Some people like more dark, black and strong coffee and the others are lovers of natural black coffee. These are the easiest coffees to drink black. One of them is the Light roast. Light roast coffee beans are cooked for a very short time to preserve the original taste and aroma of coffee. Light roasts are also called Cinnamon, Half City, Light, and New England. Among the favorite brands of light roasted coffees are Kenya and Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Another one very popular and smooth black coffee is Medium Light Roasts. The color is slightly darker than with light roasts, it has the same level of acidity, but it is a little bit sweeter, so the taste is milder than light roasts. The coffee is native to tropical Africa, and Madagascar, the Comoros, Mauritius, and RĂ©union in the Indian Ocean.[2] The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries. The two most commonly grown are the highly regarded arabica and the less sophisticated but stronger and harder robusta. The earliest credible evidence of coffee-drinking appears in the middle of the 15th century in the Sufi shrines of Yemen.[6] It was here in Arabia that coffee seeds were first roasted and brewed in a similar way to how it is now prepared. Coffee seeds were first exported from East Africa to Yemen, as the coffee arabica plant is thought to have been indigenous to the former.
