Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) announced last month that they are going to sign a deal, after which, Live tweets will start featuring the search results. While this deal was a breather for Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) — the social media giant which is struggling with its users growth– Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) will also get a lot of benefits from this deal. In an article on Bezinga, it was reported that live tweets and search function has already started rolling out. The source quoted Sean Udall, CIO of Quantum Trading Strategies, who thinks that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) partnership in search and tweets is huge. He said that if you search a twitter handle and then write any subject you want to search with ‘$’ before it, you will get all the results directly from Twitter.
For example, if a person wants to search about tweets regarding the company Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR), he can simple write a twitter handle followed by $TWTR. The results will show all the tweets related to Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR). Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) search results will also show replies and retweets from the subject. If the user does not want to specify a Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) handle, that option is also available and only the subject can be search from Twitter on Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL).
Udall thinks that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) can take the Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s advanced search feature and extend it according to its own needs. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) search features can bring a massive change in the way we search on the internet.
