With a military budget of $940 billion, the United States is the world’s largest military spender. The US Department of Defense has billion-dollar contracts with organizations all around the world. In terms of income earned by top defense contractors, the military industry has seen substantial expansion. The sum of global military spending has continuously increased in recent years, reaching $1.92 trillion.

The US Department of Defense has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp. a $2.287 billion defense contract. The corporation was created in 1914 and is now one of the world’s leading defense contractors. It helps the Department of Defense with intelligence, transportation, commercial, health, energy, law enforcement, and other services. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is a spin-off company from the original SAIC, which is now called Leidos. Defense, civilian, space, and intelligence markets are all served by the company. It is ranked 13th among the leading defense contractors. The US Department of Defense has awarded Oshkosh Corporation a $2.498 billion defense contract. It began as Oshkosh Truck in 1917 but has since expanded to include commercial and defense brands. The US Department of Defense has awarded Leidos Holdings, Inc. a $3.043 billion defense contract. In the areas of aviation, defense, intelligence, energy, healthcare, physical science, surface, and space, the corporation employs 38,000 people. The US Department of Defense has awarded Atlantic Diving Supply a $3.091 billion defense contract. In 2021, the corporation is ranked 10th among the leading defense contractors. The US Department of Defense has awarded GE a $4.378 billion defense contract. G.E.’s portfolio now includes industries such as aviation, power, healthcare, and renewable energy. The US Department of Defense has awarded L3Harris Technologies, Inc. a $6.272 billion defense contract. With over 48,000 people serving in 100 countries, it is one of the major defense contracting businesses. In 2021, the corporation is ranked eighth among the leading defense contractors.
