There is no shortage of email apps in the market. The app stores are flooded with email apps labelled with high claims and brags, but a nice, clean and productive email app is nowhere to be found. But Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) might have a solution to this problem. The company has announced a new app called “Inbox” which will solve the email problems. The emails are littered with social media messages, invites, spams and useless stuff these days. Alex Gawley, the product director of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s email department claims that use and basic necessity of email is same as it was years before. It is presentation and interface that needed attention.
In a program on Bloomberg, Matt Miller talked out Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s new step in the email domain. Miller said that he came to know about this new product through a blog post from Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and he takes it as more of a commercial advertisement to gain fame. Miller said that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is using Artificial Intelligence to make Inbox, a completely user friendly place. People will use inbox as their personal virtual assistant to sift through email. He also gave the example of his own inbox where important emails are difficult to locate. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) will use smart algorithms to tell the users where they should go and what email is necessary for them to read.
Miller gave an example to explain Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s latest innovation. If a user has booked a flight and the airline emails him about then necessary details, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Inbox app will highlight this email thread in order to imbibe the attention of the user. User’s contacts will also be used in this thread. If the user wants to make a quick call to the airlines, he will be able to do so from the email box.
