Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) recently announced the launch of a new Chromebook from Acer. The Acer Chromebook 13 is NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, which makes it deliver the processing speeds that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Chromebooks are famous for, while at the same time deliver 13 hours of battery life. The Acer Chromebook 13 comes with an optional touchscreen and 1080p resolution. Consumers can now buy the new Chromebook, starting at $249, from Amazon and other online retailers, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) said on its Google Chrome Blog.
The Chromebook is a device that sits between the tablet and the laptop. Ever since its launch it has found fans and critics in equal measures, owing to the fact that even though it’s very much the size of a laptop, the Google Chrome OS that it features, doesn’t allow users to do a lot of tasks and running as many apps as on a regular laptop.
