Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) have announced that they will be producing special products and services for the Enterprises. International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) has said that it will sell special iPads and iPhones for the industry that are pre-loaded with Enterprise software. This deal is a major breakthrough for the tech giants and will allow them to make a major space in the industry. Discussing the implications of this in a program, Bloomberg Contributing Editor, David Kirkpatrick, said that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) are really worried about this deal as they will have to struggle a lot to stay up in the enterprise now.
“Everybody has wanted to use Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) in Enterprise for some time I mean, a lot of people, I remember, about four-five years ago, I moderated a panel and a guy was telling me that he had helped a major media company give iPads to its senior leadership and it was the first time in all his work as a CIO, that he had seen true enthusiasm among internal company… tech clients inside the company,” said Kirkpatrick.
Kirkpatrick said that IBM has global Salesforce infrastructure and Enterprise penetration and it can help Apple to enter enterprise domain and improve security features of its devices. International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) has been focusing to produce dedicated, Cloud based systems for industry premise that can help corporates to grow and meet their shared needs over the Cloud with extraordinary security. He said that Google and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) are looking to find reponses to this deal and searching for likely partners to launch some game changing venture for the Enterprise.
“It’s Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) scratching their head and you know, could we link up with, I mean, may be they would say Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL), I don’t know, there is got to be some way that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) could respond, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) really also has major designs on the enterprise market which they have made some in-roads on, you know with their gawks and all kinds of other things they are doing in the Cloud,” said Kirkpatrick.
Kirkpatrick also commented on the latest announcement by the Chinese government in which it warned its citizens about iPhones and called them a national security threat. He said that there is a phenomenal enthusiasm about Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) products in China and the government is trying to block Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) products and promote the local companies in the tech markets.
