BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) CEO and Chairman John Chen gave an interview to Bloomberg in which he has talked about many important things. In a question about whether he will sell Blackberry in the coming future, Chen didn’t look firm and assertive in his tone. He waited a bit, looked aside and then said that it would take a lot to even contemplate about it. When he was asked about how many offer he has on his table about BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), Chen again looked confused and said that he has no offer but then he said that he is unable to sell the company. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is getting up after a major slumber. It released BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) Passport recently and now it is coming up with another device: Blackberry Classic.
Chen said that selling the company has a lot of regulatory issues. He ignored the question about selling BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) to a Chinese company. He said that people talk about acquiring BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) but talks are not offers. The company is going pretty well and he is satisfied with the performance now as compared to the past. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) invests and innovates to a level to manage its portfolio, make money and manage market trends.
He was very clear about the fact that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s coming back into being an iconic figure in the coming is still blurry. He said that he cannot say for sure that the company will be ever back to the same level of excellence as it was in the future. Chen thinks that it’s all about value.
