BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has announced in a recent post on its blog that it will host three invite-only events on September 24, in Toronto, London, and Dubai. While the company did not disclose what the event is about, we might assume that it might involve the launch of their latest smartphone, Blackberry Passport.
Even though BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) tried to create some mystery around the event, the tagline “See the bigger picture” is a clear hint, taking into account that Passport will feature a square 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels. Even though most details about BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s new device have been already disclosed earlier, the event will still be expected by the masses.
It’s also interesting to point out that earlier Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) sent out invitations for its September 9 event, during which the company will most likely unveil its new iPhone. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s invitation represented a date with a tagline “Wish we could say more,” which also creates some kind of mystery around the event.
