In Midsommar, Dani and Christina, a young American couple in a shaky relationship, attend a midsummer festival with their friends. The village quickly devolves into a terrifying and dark nightmare. The film is a real illustration of the fact that not all horrors are discovered in the dark. Booksmart, Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, is a fast-paced, hilarious, and entertaining film.
