The success of Mobile operating systems is now being evaluated on different metrics. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)‘s iPhone and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)‘s Android are by far the leading mobile OS in the world today. ComScore, is coming up with The U.S. Mobile App Report report, which will share insights and findings of the App market. It shared a snapshot of the findings on its website, recently.
According to some findings, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android leads in total app users with 76.1 million users, while Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s app user base amounts to 62.6 million. However, when it comes to earning of users, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone owners earn on an average of $85,000 a year, much higher than Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android users, who earn $61,000 a year on average. Moreover, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone users also lead in the time they spend on apps each month, which is 64 hours, 9 hours more than the 55 hours that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android users. The median age of users of both mobile OS is 40.
