(NASDAQ:AMZN) is working to provide every kind of service that a customer could ask for, but is currently focusing only on services like assembly, installation as repair as Reuters said in an article.
Providing local services is an area that Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s CEO had in mind since over a decade, if experts are to be believed the local services industry in the U.S. is worth as much as $400 billion annually. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has already been working on prototype to provide local services on its home ground in Seattle and has now expanded the tests to New York and Los Angeles, according to service providers who have worked with the company.
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) would be soon launching this service at more locations throughout the United States. The company is expected to take a cut of 20% for services provided under $1,000 while for services above $1,000 it’s expected to be 15%.
