Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has launched a new price war against The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) by blocking the pre-launch orders for The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)‘s latest DVD titles. Tactics like these are not new for the e-commerce behemoth Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), it is already doing the same thing with Hachette Book Group over e-book pricing. Earlier this year, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) did the same thing with the Warner Bros. Studio, before the two reached an agreement.

“Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is playing hardball again in a pricing fight. This time it’s with The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS). The online retailer is blocking pre-orders of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) ‘s hit movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) had a similar spat with Warner Bros. and is fighting of course pricing with Hachette Books.” Sterns said.
