Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI)’s CEO Robert Kotick joined CNBC live from E3 yesterday and he was discussing about the company’s plans for this year and the positives so far. Kotick was excited about the games they are going to release later this year.
He began mentioning about the “Call Of Duty” game that Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) has developed and is going to release this year. As per Kotick, it is the best of all the Call Of Duty games released so far.
“I think our audiences are going to be really excited. The reaction has been unbelievably positive,” Kotick said.
Kotick also said that for the first time Sony and Microsoft led off with software from one company. So with this Destiny got a lot of attention and gained popularity.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) has entered the Skylander arena and when asked if he feels it as a direct competition, Kotick said though it’s a competition, his company is currently focused on growing the franchise and that the latest game they are going to release is getting tremendous response from the kids in testing phase.
He also mentioned about the Diablo expansion and said that it restored the enthusiasm in Diablo players.
When Kotick was asked what he thinks of the virtual reality where Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has Oculus, Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) has Morpheus, Kotick stated:
“These things have great promise for the future, there’s a lot of work to be done to cost reduce them, a lot of work to make sure you got image stabilization and they don’t get too dis orienting.”
Kotick was also very excited about the opportunity the new enhancements in technology bring to the world of video games.
