In a recent appearance in Bloomberg’s “Street Smart”, Peter Bolin, the man who designed the magnificent looking new glass based Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)  Stores, on being asked about the secret behind the Apple stores being made of glass and the role of Steve Jobs said “Steve would be involved in everything and those are the greatest clients because in a way you try to get it there and they turn it even harder.” This tells about the commitment of Steve Jobs towards excellence and innovation. Bolin also said that the idea behind the glass stores was a combined effort by him, his team and Jobs.

When Bolin was asked if architecture can be part of branding, he agreed and said that the glass stores helped Apple’s brand. The most important and key point to note about glass being part of the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)  stores is that it makes the view breath-taking and adrenaline pumping as the tiers go higher.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s retail stores generated around $5.2 billion in net sales during the first quarter of the year. At the same time, the company had around 420 stores located worldwide, 254 of which being based in the U.S.
