Verisign, Inc.(NASDAQ:VRSN) shares were up slightly after-hours after the company reported revenue of $249 million for Q1 2014, up 5% from the same quarter in 2013. Verisign reported net income of $94 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.64 for Q1 2014, compared to net income of $85 million and diluted EPS of $0.52 in the same quarter in 2013. The Street expected earnings of $0.63 per share on revenue of $249 million, according to Capital IQ estimates.
Maxim Integrated Products Inc.(NASDAQ:MXIM) beats with fiscal Q3 earnings, while its Q4 guidance straddles the Street view. Shares of the integrated circuit maker are steady after hours. MXIM reported adjusted fiscal Q3 earnings of $0.43, a penny below the year-ago quarter but better than the Capital IQ consensus for $0.40 per share.
Revenue of $605.6 million is up from $604.9 million a year earlier. The Capital IQ consensus was for $605 million. For its fiscal Q4, the company guides for revenue of $635 million to $665 million and adjusted EPS of $0.45 to $0.49. The Cap IQ survey calls for $0.46 per share on $639 million in revs. The company also said a cash dividend of $0.26 per share will be paid on June 5 to stockholders of record on May 22.
Cirrus Logic, Inc.(NASDAQ:CRUS) shares were up 4% after-hours after the company reported earnings and revenue that topped projections. Cirrus reported Q4 earnings of $0.41 per share and Q4 revenue of $149.7 million. The Street expected earnings of $0.32 per share and revenue of $142 million, according to Capital IQ estimates. Cirrus Logic expects Q1 revenue to range from $135 million to $155 million, versus the Street expectation for $141 million.
