Now we have chosen three requirements from the list: age, marital status, and criminal record. The first requirement, which is very often the most important, is the age. If you want to adopt from The Philippines, you need to be of legal age must be at least sixteen years older than the child. As a matter of fact the adopter has to be at least 27 years old when applying and the maximum age difference between the adopter and the child to be adopted must not exceed 45 years. Marital status is also important: if you are a married couple, you have to be married at least for two years, and naturally you have to apply together. If you are single parent, you are eligible to adopt children between 6 and 15 years old. Criminal record: adopters must not have been convicted of a crime that involves moral turpitude
