If you are working in the field of radiology or plan on working as a radiologist, you must have pondered which states pay radiologists the most.

Whenever a patient requires some use of radiation in diagnosis or treatment, radiologists are called in. They are specialized in dealing with radiation-based devices and imaging systems like X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scans etc. These tests help doctors to detect complications in different parts of the body and they can properly act on treating the ailments. The journey to being a radiologist is quite long and arduous. You need to finish your medical school, then take a standardized licensing examination. But after all this effort, radiologists of the United States can expect to earn at an average of $350,000 per year. It seems to be a decent return given the very long learning period. But the top paying states can offer quite higher compared to the other states. For the top 11 states, the annual salary is in between $380,000 and $420,000. New Jersey ranks at the top and there you may receive more than $200 per hour. But the other states will still offer you more than $180.
