Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is trying to make things easy for developers by giving an easy, independent mobile backend service pack for Windows Azure Cloud development. In an article, Martin Heller said that Microsoft mobile and Cloud development service is much better than its counterparts like Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Azure development backend service offers easy to use backend deployment for cross-platform environment, websites and mobile application. The primary reason of this is the fact that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is mainly targeting Cloud startups and low-end of the market whereas Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has an established customer base in the Enterprise.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is focusing on “one for all” strategy in its apps and software. Its latest operating system Windows 10 will also be running the same interface and functionality on mobile, tablets and PC. Windows Azure is the Cloud platform of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) which is slowly but steadily making its way into the Enterprise. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) recently launched its Windows Azure platform for students which gives free Azure development kits and apps to students.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is trying to convince the app developers to use its mobile backend as a service (mBaaS) platform instead of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). This would help the company monetize its Azure platform. All the apps developed for mobile or web using the Cloud will go through Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Cloud this giving a cut in revenue for the Redmond giant.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is fighting tooth and nail both at the mobile and Cloud domains, but Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) still has an upper hand in the Cloud sector.
