In a program on Bloomberg, Weather Company CTO and CIO Bryson Koehler said that his company is expanding dramatically. The Weather channel is experiencing growth in mobile apps, B2B, space, energy, office, enterprise and other multifarious aspects of the industry. He said that the company’s apps have recorded 170 million downloads. The company also used Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) services in its weather forecast systems.

Koehler said that his company has numerous partners, but Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is one of the most important peers in the industry. The Weather Company’s system updates weather information for 3 billion locations every 15 seconds.
