Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) may be getting ready to unveil a new electric truck or van, Karl Brauer, senior analyst at KBB.com, a website by Kelley Blue Book’s, told The Street.
The speculation that Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will be unveiling a new kind of electric vehicle was sparked by a viral post on Twitter on Thursday by the company’s billionaire founder, Elon Musk.
“I think the ‘D’ could be some sort of truck or van. We’ve already seen a sports car, luxury sedan, SUV and entry-luxury sedan from Tesla. There were rumblings he wanted to do a truck several months ago, and of course that market, along with the van market, is extremely active right now,” Karl Brauer, senior analyst at KBB.com, a website by Kelley Blue Book’s, is quoted by the publication as saying.
Musk said in a tweet with a photo of a silhouette of a car that it’s “About time to unveil the D and something else”.
