On the opposite sidewalk, Village Super Market Inc (NASDAQ:VLGEA)’s major shareholder investors on record have decided to increase their exposure to the company member of Wakefern Food Corporation, the retailer owned food cooperative and owner of the ShopRite name. Chuck Royce’s fund, Royce and Associates –owner of over 1.5 million shares- and Jim Simons’s Renaissance Technologies –owner of 142,000 shares- have done so by 1% and 6% respectively. Also, Ken Griffin’s fund, Citadel Investment Group –owner of 32,852 shares- has determined to increase its participation in the firm even more, by a over 170%.
