(NASDAQ:AMZN)‘s recent acquisition of Twitch from the perspective of the deal’s impact on the company’s credit rating. The firm said that the announcement made by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) to acquire Twitch in a $970 million transaction doesn’t have a current impact on Amazon’s senior unsecured rating, which stands at Baa1 at the moment, with the outlook remaining stable.
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) disclosed that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Twich, a live video platform for gamers, on Monday. So far, most analysts said that the deal will provide many opportunities for Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), since it will allow the company to capture a bigger market share in the online video streaming segment. Twitch has over 55 million unique visiotors, with the total volume of content topping 15 billion minutes of videogames streaming provided by over 1 million broadcasters, such as individual players, publishers, or developers.
