Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has recently made a change to their timeline. Changes made by Twitter was to suggest users that they might be interested in few contents, which they were not following, but followed by many people in their network. This changes lets Twitter decide, what appears on the users’ timelines. Adam Bain, Global Revenue and Partnerships at Twitter talked on CNBC about the changes made and the feedback from users.

Bain revealed that Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) was experimenting for two years to identify the best way to update the users about the contents. He explained what changes were actually made on the platform.

“[…] This particular test uses the favorite action on Twitter. You can favorite someones tweet from a series of users in your network. If enough people favorite that specific content and you don’t follow that user, we may bring that content in as a suggestion of something that you should look at,” Bain described the changes made to Twitter platform.

There were some negative user feedbacks to the changes made by Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR). Bain pointed out that some feedbacks were interesting. He said that he could catch hold of some contents through the change made, which he might not have noticed otherwise.

Late actor Robin Williams’ daughter, Zelda Willams, was trolled and taunted on the Twitter platform by many users, after the suicide of Robin Williams. In a way she was forced to quit Twitter due to these trolls and taunts. Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) also suspended many of those posts. Bain pointed out that the Twitter was always very specific about the safety concerns. He said that if the content violates the terms of service from their standpoint, then Twitter might suspend the user or the content. He added that they agree to the local laws of various countries on these concerns.

“[…] As more devices become connected across the world, the advantage of connecting them through twitter becomes pretty apparent,” Bain said about the future of Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR).
