BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)‘s smartphones are again gaining traction, thanks to the security threats and leaks uncovered in the past few years. The company mentioned who’s who of international politics using BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s smartphones in a recent post on its official blog. It also revealed that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is the chosen mobile solutions provider for the G7 governments, having received over 50 government certifications in the past.
Among world leaders, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s smartphones are used by U.S. President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister, David Cameron and Geman Chancellor, Angela Merkel, who, along with top German officials, use BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s devices embedded with voice encryption technology by Secusmart, a firm that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) recently acquired. Last year, Denmark’s Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt was also seen clicking a much talked about selfie featuring her, Barack Obama and David Cameron, on her Blackberry Z10.
The post also highlighted that after returning from his annual vacation to Wales, British Prime Minister, David Cameron had told the media, “Wherever I am in the world, I am always within a few feet of a BlackBerry and an ability to manage things should they need to be managed.”
