Saudi Airlines is implementing a Business Intelligence solution with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), which will allow the famous Middle Eastern airline to improve its business efficiency, data usability and save billions of dollars each year. Microsoft has published a report on this partnership and said that Saudi Airlines is using Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s SQL Server 2012, Power BI for Office 365, Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s SharePoint Server 2013 to analyze data in the most optimal way.
The report added that this step is helping Saudi Airlines to revamp its data unification and the company is now more equipped to manage its remote resources across the globe. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) also said that Saudi Airlines will also help its subsidiaries like Saudi Cargo, Saudi Catering and Saudi Ground Services in the unification of data, information visualization and implementation of cost effective strategies in the future.
The report quoted Muhammad Albakri, executive vice president of Finance, Saudi Airlines, who said that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has helped Saudi Airlines to build a standardize platform to manage the scattered data and information chunks.
“Before we worked with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), we had scattered information everywhere. We had many different business intelligence and incentive solutions, separate training and no standard platform to run all the environments,” Albakri said.
Saudi Airlines was started in 2007 and since then, it has spent five years in improving its business operations, data visibility and control. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s report claimed that since the start of implementation of business intelligence program, Saudi Airlines is experiencing a great improvement in different aspects of business. The company has seen an improvement in revenue, customer sales, customer service, fraud prevention and accounting. The report said that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s solution has enabled the company to have knowledge of each and every minute detail of its business dynamics.
