Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has been facing increasing pressure from investors, ever since its IPO to come up with new monetization and advertising tools. The company it appears, is trying to do exactly that by launching promoted videos, yesterday. Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)  announced on its advertising blog a beta test of promoted video on its website.

According to the post, it will be easier for brands to upload and distribute videos on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s website, and to measure the reach and effectiveness of this content, if they use promoted video. Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) is also offering advertisers a new Cost Per View (CPV) ad buying model, through which they will only be charged if a user actually plays the video. The company also mentioned that it has expanded the tests of its native video solution with select content publishers and verified users.
