BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s BlackBerry Messenger, popularly called BBM will be available for download on Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Windows phone starting from today, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’S official blog, Inside Blackberry announced today.
BBM was among the first messenger App ever, earlier it used to come bundled along with BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s phones, such that only users who used a BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) device had access to it. With the growth of Android, iOS and people leaving BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) en masse, the company launched BBM on the App stores of both these operating systems.
The only remaining popular smartphone OS that didn’t had BBM was Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Windows Mobile, which from today onwards can also boast of having the BBM app. The app was run in private beta for a while by BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) and the current version has also been released as a beta.
