Africa is by far the poorest continent. In fact, if we take a look at the poorest countries of the world, we will find that most countries in the list are African. Even though Africa possesses vast natural resources and fertile lands, but the never ending power struggle among African leaders is holding back the development. War has been raging through many countries for decades, and it is still ongoing. Despite all the efforts made by developed nations, the war and corruption just does not seem part of the continent. But all is not lost, there are few African nations that are showing much improvement and are slowly progressing. However, right now Africa can use all the help it can get. As long as a single nation in the world is living below the poverty line, as a race of humans we cannot call ourselves successful. In Africa everyday many people die of hunger, diseases and war. As representatives of a developed nation, it is our responsibility to sympathize with the people in distress and help them succeed in their struggle. Africa has everything it needs in abundance, the only thing holding Africa back is the greed of people.
